The Authority and Power of God's Word

In this lesson we are going to learn some of the wonderful uses and effects of Scripture in our lives. Some of these seem too good to believe, but faith (or believing) is the place that we need to start because, “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6). Are you lacking that faith? Scripture has the answer for that too – in Romans 10:17 we learn that “faith comes…by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” If you don’t have faith, you can get it through God’s Word.

We see in Scripture that God’s provision for us is in His promises as revealed in His Word. Astonishingly, as we receive His Word, its effect is that we become partakers of God’s own nature. Let’s open our hearts now to receive the truth of God’s Word into our hearts and begin to enjoy its wonderful effects in our lives
