Founded on the Rock

Founded on the Rock is the first message in the Laying the Foundation series and is centered around the person of Jesus. Scripture tells us that there is no other foundation that can be laid other than the one that is already laid – Jesus Christ. Jesus is our personal foundation and before we start building, we need to ask ourselves two important questions:

1. What is my foundation – have I laid the right foundation?

2. Is my life built on Jesus – do I have a personal relationship with Him?

As Christians, we are responsible to build ourselves up as a dwelling place for the Lord and to do that we need to establish our lives on Jesus. In Matthew 16, starting at verse 13, Jesus asks His disciples the same question that He asks each of us today – “Who do you say that I am?”
